Our pediatric surgeon offers a wide range of advanced surgical services, treating everything from appendicitis to birth defects to trauma (severe injuries), and burns to thyroid conditions.

  • Abdominal masses (abnormal growths in the belly)

  • Abscesses (fluid-filled sores) 

  • Breast masses and disorders

  • Minor/moderate burns

  • Gallbladder disease: including gallstones and cysts like Choledochal cysts

  • Congenital anomalies (a problem or defect that’s present at birth): including gastroschisis, omphalocele and diaphragmatic hernias

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (an ongoing disorder in which stomach acid or bile flows into the lower esophagus and irritates the lining)

  • Head and neck tumors and masses (growths on the head)

  • Hernias and hydroceles (when part of an organ or tissue such as a loop of intestine pushes through an opening or weak spot in a muscle wall)

  • Circumcisions

  • Undescended testes and testicular masses

  • Hirschsprung's disease (a condition of the large intestine that causes problems with passing stool)

  • Skin lesions (wounds, ulcers, abscesses or tumors)

  • Lung masses and empyema (pus around the lung)

  • Morbid obesity (severe obesity in teens that may be helped with bariatric surgery)

  • Thyroid disease and masses

  • Ovarian disorders (conditions affecting the female reproductive organs

  • Splenic conditions and cysts (growths on the spleen)

  • Pilonidal disease (a condition of the skin of the gluteal area with repeated episodes of infection). Dr Wadie is one of the few pilonidal specialists in the country and treats patients from all over the states. Our Carolina Pilonidal Center is the only dedicated center in the South Eastern part of the states for management of this condition.
